On Monday 19 January, we marked Brew Monday by cancelling our usual morning staff briefing and instead inviting colleagues to take a moment to pause, connect and look after their wellbeing. Staff were encouraged to drop in for a cuppa, enjoy a croissant, and spend time catching up with colleagues in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.
A huge thank you goes to our fantastic catering team for providing the breakfast, which helped set the tone for a positive start to the day. The morning offered a valuable opportunity for staff to step away from the busy pace of school life, check in with one another and prioritise wellbeing.
Brew Monday reminds us of the importance of human connection and looking out for each other, particularly during the winter months. It reflects our ongoing commitment to staff wellbeing and fostering a caring, supportive school community.
“Today’s the day. The day you put the kettle on. The day small talk turns into big talk. The day you break open the biscuits and the taboos. The day you remind everyone how good human connection feels. How easy it is. And what a difference it can make.”
