Our Year 11 Geographers recently took their learning beyond the classroom with a fieldwork visit to Longbridge, where they investigated the impacts of regeneration in the local area.
This hands-on experience gave pupils the opportunity to see geography in action. Exploring how Longbridge has changed over time, pupils examined the social, economic and environmental effects of redevelopment, collecting valuable primary data to support their enquiry.
Throughout the trip, our Year 11 pupils demonstrated maturity, focus and excellent geographical skills. They worked collaboratively in teams, asked thoughtful questions and showed real responsibility while carrying out their investigations in a live environment.
The visit not only strengthened their understanding of urban regeneration but also developed key skills including teamwork, independence and critical thinking — all essential for success in their GCSE studies.
A huge well done to our Year 11 Geographers for their hard work and commitment. We are incredibly proud of the way they represented the school and embraced this important fieldwork opportunity.
